Happy Tuesday! Stay Dry!

Hope you all are staying dry today! I came across this picture of Princess Diana from 1981 and just fell in love with her style- Hunter boots, cords, and a sweater- what could be more perfect! I just love my Hunter boots and would say they are probably the most practical pair of shoes I own! Happy Tuesday!

Investments

Recently I’ve been thinking a lot about how I want to spend my money. With Fall season looks coming out this time of year, walking through the mall and down Newbury Street can be very tempting. Since Newbury Street is such a short walk from my dorm I often leave my credit card at home when I decide to go out for a stroll just to avoid any temptations to spend my money.
As a result of these walks and reading blog posts from my favorite bloggers about fashion trends for Fall and key pieces to have in your wardrobe I been giving some more thought to where I want to spend my money.
First of all, it is always important to save before you spend. But once you have saved up it is then time to think about what that money might go to buy.
I am always very grateful for what I have, but a girl always has a wish list right?
Instead of spending my money on small, inexpensive items here and there I have thought a great deal about investment purchases. For example I have a pair of leather boots and even though I spent a couple hundred dollars on them, I know they will last me a few seasons and that they were a good investment. Similarly, I think purses and outwear are items to invest in.
While I know investment purchases like my shoes will be more costly, in the end I believe it really is worth saving up for these higher quality items.
Beyond shoes though I have been giving some thought to other investment pieces and in particular watches. Accessories like a watch can really tell you something about a person’s personality.
While some watches are more expensive, they are good investment pieces because you are usually wearing it almost every day.
Here are a few watches that I’ve had my eye on…
Classic St Andrews Lady Watch from Daniel Wellington

Hugo Watch from Taki

Gold Round Watch from Tuckernuck

What do you think? A good investment right?
